How long do you intend to leave them on? Something LED would be the least draw, and least heat. Armoires usually are all wood, so having an incandescent light in there would not be a good idea, since the use is usually for clothes storage. It would be a fire hazard, to use an incandescent bulb and to forget to turn it off, and then shut the doors. I think battery-powered pucks w/LED elements would be a good choice.

For pendants like that, you won't have an issue with heat dissipation. I'd be comfortable with a small metal junction box hidden on top or bottom, a pre-fabbed lamp cord plug into the wall and lamp cord up to feed each pendant.

From a code perspective, furniture with a plug on it isn't addressed by NEC. Do something reasonable and you should be safe here. You're basically building a DIY lamp from a safety perspective.

Photo not available. Depends on what you want to do, but for under-cab lights I just use light strips and low-voltage. They basically tape in place, use low voltage wire and can easily go through 1/4" holes. Watch the "color" on LEDs - it's often not the same as incandescent. Easy to do a remote or other control so you don't have to deal with a switch.

There are battery strip lights available at a certain Swedish store that work perfect in an armoire, they activate when the door is opened last pretty good and have decent output.

Looks like a couple of track lighting pendants. Wire the track to a junction box on top of the armoire. From the junction box, make a power cord that'll plug into a wall outlet.
