Safety / Precaution when applying solvent base epoxy coat ?

Hi,

I'm still looking a place to uby the solvent based epoxy coat in Montreal (Canada) :) ! But I start to think about the safety issue ,from your experience what are the specific safety guidelines when applying solvent based epoxy coat ?

Don't get it on anything you don't want to ruin and don't eat it....I didn't do anything with the epoxy itself as far as safety...

Ask for the manufacturers MSDS. ( Material saftey data sheets ) But like fuzzy said.. dont eat it, and dont get it on anything you like. Wear nitrile gloves.

Along with the gloves, wear a good respirator, make sure you have good ventilation, and be certain there are no open flames anywhere near the project site.

And if you have any leftovers do not send them to your long lost brother in California, most of those coatings with solvent extenders are outlawed in these parts.
