Looking to get a few things safety wise, specifically some type of quality wall mount first aid kit and fire extinguisher. Do you peeps have such items? Where is a good place to find those type of things?

Thank you

Grainger.com is just one. Most towns have companies that sell first aid cabinets and supplies to the facilities and keep them stocked.

Zoro tools hands down has the best price on QUALITY fire extinguishers. I picked up 8 extinguishers at their last 30% off sale and they were a steal. Free shipping as well . When looking for extinguishers stay away from the brands sold in the box stores. Look on their walls, look on any commercial installation. You'll see brands like amerex and badger. Be warned a 20lb extinguisher is pretty heavy, but at 19 seconds Im confident I can extinguish almost any house fire with them.

They hold similar sales several times a year but the black friday is usually the best.

You can buy wall mount kits online or from industrial or safety supply houses. But I advise you to consider adding some stuff to it- the typical first aid kits are fine for cuts and boo boos but they are often lacking for more serious injuries and wounds. I add a trauma kit component to my first aid kits, of stuff like compression bandages (such as Isreali Battle Dressings), lots of large gauze, and even some quickclot dressings and tourniquets (no, you won't doom a limb by putting a tourniquet on it, just get to the hospital as soon as possible, you've got at least and hour and possibly more without doing harm). I get my advanced medical supplies from Chinook Medical.

As far as extinguishers go, a general purpose ABC 10 pounder will cover most needs...or as I prefer, a nice hefty 20 pounder. You can add Purple K or CO2 extinguishers as you feel the need. shop around online and check with your local fire suppliers for the best costs on a commercial unit.

After many years and many injuries.....thankfully I still have all my digits... I have realized that you should not just get a wall cabinet of stuff. just a waste. you need to get a cabinet of some sorts to keep it safe but you need to tailor it to what you are doing. for example in my woodshop I have emergency gear only. for example major trauma like cutting off a finger = plastic zip loc bag, ice pack, paper towel to wrap it in. Also have packs of stop bleeding stuff and tourniquets.
But in my car shop I have two fire extinguishers and gauze pads.
I always have my cell phone within reach.
in both I have ear , eye, facemask, dust protection.
the things on the wall are usually required in some businesses but you really need aspirin and band aids that are 4 times as expensive? also depends on location and how long help takes to get you

Great input, thank you all.

Yes my goal was a "generic" wall mount metal cabinet foe ease of storage that I would augment with more specific items.

When I shopped for extinguishers for my home, Amazon was the best. That was a year and a half ago. I wasn't sure they could be shipped, but indeed they did.

Zoro has a boat load of extinguishers. Which ones did you purchase? I also need a new one for in the house.

5 of these, gave one to my mom. 1 upstairs, 1 on ground floor, 1 in basement, 1 in garage. Dont let teh generic picture fool you , they are large and probably too heavy for most small children to operate

This for the woodshop/garage

for the kitchen, on ground floor

And also one of these

The plan is to not set off an ABC extinguisher inside my home or garage unless **** is real. I can now deal with a rather large wood fire in the corner of my garage with a little foam or water, or a large out of control grease fire in the kitchen, but if need arises I also have the 20lb ABC to fall back on
