This may seem stupid but I figured I'd ask.

What is the point of the saftey attachment for the blow gun?

It has holes on the sides... What would one ever use this for?

Thanks,
-Nigel

The holes on the sides are for the air to come out of in case you press the tip against your skin. It's an OSHA requirement. They also allow room air to be drawn into the airstream during normal operation.

They don't want you pushing metal chips into your arm or anything.

Interesting - I thought the holes were there in case something got stuck in the outlet - which would then become a dangerous projectile when the compressed air hit it.

Never thought about someone stupid enough to press the tips to their skin and then pull the triger.

FWIW,
Carl B.
