Sagging cables

Has anyone else out there had this problem with their 4 post lift?
After not being used for a couple of weeks, I find the cables sagging quite a bit. I have to be careful when operating afterward because the cables can get hung up or even come off a pulley. For the record, mine is a Bendpak...

Adjust the length of the cables.

You will not be able to adjust that much slack out of those cables.... Do you have any of the cross straps under the runners that help support those cables? You might also look into the rams leaking internally and causing the sag. My lift can sit for a month and not sag like that.

Wow, that's a lot. Was it left sitting on all four locks? Once raised & sitting on the locks, a week or so later the cables (on my DirectLift ProPark9) will not be under tension but they are not drooping.

Sitting on the locks. I have added a cross piece to help some with the "droop", but doesn't help much.
If it were leaking into the cylinder, I'd expect oil level to drop, and then oil would blow out thru the air relief while raising.

How long are you holding the lever down after it reaches the locks? The only time mine has drooped like that is when I hold the lever down too long after hitting the locks.

Whoa that's a crazy amount. No, I just barely introduce a little sag into the cables to relieve tension and it will stay exactly that way for weeks at a time.
It seems like your lowering valve isn't closing fully when you release the handle.

Mine sagged enough that there wasn't enough adjustment left to get it all the way to the top lock. I had to put spacers on the cables to get the tension back.

This was not on a BendPak though and the company mine came from is no longer in business, thus the spacers vs replacing the cables.
