Sagging Double garage door.

Hi there.
My double garage door catches on the right hand side of the frame every time it opens or closes.
Its been doing it for ages.
There seems to be a bow in the door. The door is not sectional and it's quite heavy.
check out the pics. Nice riveting job huh?

I assume that if I lower the connecting arm it will have more support. I understand it can't go to low or there will be a problem when closing.
any ideas from the pros?

Maybe you can use some strut stiffeners to take out the bow.

plate it. Build an aluinum truss and reinforce the door.

Also on these type of doors they sometimes require to be trimmed to fit and adjusted accordingly.

I replaced my wood door with a power roll-up steel door. No regrets

The truss I suggested should be on the top and bottom rail to support the door in the open position.

I would suggest not lowering the opener arm. Your one piece door is engineered to pull straight back on the top, not an arc like a conventional sectional. You need to find where the interference is when the door opens. Part of the bow may be from the opener pulling on the center while one or both sides are stuck, then finally break loose. Fix that then look at the springs. Like sectional doors, one piece doors also have springs for balancing the door. If you or someone else has added a lot of weight to the door, like in bracing and stiffness, you may have to upgrade the springs. They are a bear so use extreme caution with those puppies.

If you look at the top frame they are just flashings and they are not even riveted on.
The whole thing is aluminium and on the back the supports are diagonal.
You can see a glimpse in the first photos.
