Sagging garage door

New to Forum. Glad it exist.

My garage door is a 16 x 7,aluminum or very thin metal. While in the open position the bottom panel sags at the middle and prevents the door from closing (belt driven door opener). The door has a few rips in the facing and three of the aluminum (horizontal) beams broke of the center (vertical) beam.

To this point I have inserted and attached back to back 3/4" aluminum strips on the horizontal beams across the center beam one foot lengths. That reduced but did not cure it. I realize my best option is a new door, or replace panels. I called the manufacturer and they are out of business.

I have a thought for a fix, but it won't be pretty and hopefully I can describe it well enough for visualization. In the open position if I can create more space between panels it should further limit or prevent the sag. If I do this, while in the closed position there will be a space between panels (not pretty)

My idea to create space between panels in the open position is to use cable wire in loops between the bottom panel and the one above it. With hard rubber or other material that is drilled so the cable wire can feed through it.
The rubber would create a space between panels, and be held in place by the cable wire, allowing the rubber to move as needed when the door opens and closes.

All suggestions, advice, other ideas welcomed and greatly appreciated.

I've owned the house for 11 years and the door came with it. the aluminum struts, thank you (not beams) are very pitted and discolored.

If, I end up buying a new door any recommendations for type and brand.

The door probably isn't worth putting new struts on, as it has a few tears.

I have a 16'x7' on both my house attached garage and my shop, both are older and have sagged since they were about a year old. I have been told,it's because of the length,(heavy in the middle) . My house garage with opener stopped working this year. The problem was a small bend/crease where the panels lock, when the door is in closed position. No easy fix available, except for a new door. The new doors I have checked out are lighter in weight and have alluminum cross braces.

Will you please post full door pics of closed, open and halfway position positions so I can get a better understanding of your tensioner.
Will it help when mine sags in the "open" position ?
