Just joined this forum when looking for some tool chest reviews. Great place you got here, happy I joined and I hope to learn from everyone.
I have a small 2 car garage that I hope will be a one car garage with some version of a shop the other side. I have way too many tools for the space, but with some good ideas and advice, maybe I can make it work.
Just a little background...I do not work in the skilled trades, but have worked maintenance jobs in the past at small factories and whatnot. I have also bid out a couple of small jobs like building benches for dressing rooms, remodeling a bathroom, renovating a rehearsal hall, and drywalling and carpeting an office. I also do car maintenance for myself and have been paid by strangers to do body work and repair their cars. I have some skills but I am far, far from a professional in either area. I hope to learn from those of you who are. I've already read a bunch of posts and some of the people are so, so talented!
The big things going on now are organizing my garage/shop and basically gutting a house I am living in...by gutting I mean moving the kitchen to a different part of the house, replacing all the flooring, gutting 3 bathrooms, and eliminating a landing/office from the second floor. I've already put in new doors, and 3 new windows, not to mention repairing a big section of the cedar siding. I may have bitten off more than I can chew since I am flying solo on this project!
Well, glad to be here and here goes nothing.
