Salvage Air tanks?

If you have ever watched myth-busters on TV then you see they are always getting these cheap salvage tanks and welding on valves and they are good to go. Where are these places? I want to add a large tank in the crawl space over the compressor. That would give me a bit more capacity.

Capacity for what? If you are running air hog tools then the system is limited by the capabilities of the pump, not the air storage volume.
