I have some SAM branded sockets, bought some months ago. I'm sure that the ratchet is made in France, but the sockets? Are made in france?

About 15 years back, a friend of mine used to buy a lot of SAM tools. He reckoned they were Facom quality without Facom prices.
To my eyes the finish wasn't quite Facom quality, but they seemed to be really tough and the prices were certainly really good. I believe the French military used to use them, so probably not rubbish!
A few years back I was equipping a workshop for a friend and looked at SAM, but they didn't seem to have anything like the market presence they used to, and I got the impression the company was fading fast. I also had some questions then about where the sockets were made, and never got a straight answer, so feared the worst!
I'm glad they are still around, and am also very interested to find out if their sockets are still French made!
