Anyone know of a sand blaster I could run off of a 26 gal 135PSI 5.8 CFM @ 90 PSI?

I can't find one that needs less than 10 CFM @ 90 PSI.

I will only be using it periodically on car parts like a rear end, springs, brackets, fender wells, etc. Nothing too big.. but I have no prior experience with sand blasting so, I am not sure what I can run for how long, etc.

blasters are air hogs, for the size of what you're blasting, you might be better off finding someone local to do it for you.
or invest in a much larger compressor
my compressor is about the size of yours, i have a small CM siphon feed setup that ive done a few things with. it takes forever.

What he said, I have a 5HP, 2 stage and when using my SB, it don't take very long for it to cycle on and off.

I use this with this.

Seems to work fine for small parts, but larger parts would take a LONG time.

Sounds like you want a larger blaster but in case you are looking for some other ideas...

I use the hand held Speed Blaster and use glass bead from Northern tool. I can do each of these: a large brake caliper, disc brake hat or strut housing in about 4 to 5 minutes. It works pretty well on parts that are about 2 feet or smaller.

I run this off a 175 psi CMan Pro 26 gallon compressor and to do one caliper I have to stop about midway to let my compressor catch up as the blaster starts getting less efficient below about 100 psi. I run the blaster set at 130 psi on my regulator.

IMO as long as you are not doing huge parts day in day out this has worked really well based on the $$ invested.

That might work. The biggest things I might blast is a rearend, a cars not mine, and inner fender wells, etc.

You got me thinking now. I wonder if I would be better off using something like this and a DA sander. Maybe hit the parts with the sander 1st then something like that to remove the remains, any surface rust, spots where the DA could not reach, etc.

Any opinions??

4" grinder with a wire wheel,
then maybe the spot blaster, or an inexpensive siphon blaster from CM or HF

compressor wont have to work as hard trying to blast a bunch of rust off an axle housing

David, you could try using smaller ones that don't use as much air like these mini sandblasters: sandblasterinfo.com/miniature-blaster-2/

Those may be too small to do some of those things but you can find something to work. Using a smaller nozzle and hoses can help for that lower cfm air compressor.

Well, I decided to buy a bigger compressor anyway. I'm probably going to buy a 60 gallon compressor with 10.2 CFM @ 90 PSI this weekend. I won't be blasting a whole lot but my current compressor wasn't keeping up well with a cut off tool I was using last weekend.

Might as well step up now...
