And finally joined.

Reason being..I'm doing a make over on my garage this weekend.

Recently purchased a house in August, and it was built in 1981, nice home(she loves it). My favorite part is the seperated 2 car plus space garage!!! I'll have pictures up by tonight. Also of the fall back zone of extra ****! But this weekend, I will be painting, organizing, and hopefully have my nice garage. Being a single guy living out of apartments and small garages only enough room for my stang...now I finally have a garage of my own. I remember when I pulled in my mustang for the first time. I got out and stood in the driveway for a moment. My fiance' looked at me...what's going on?? I paused...looked over at her with a watery eye.."This is my garage..and that is my car in my garage" I've worked hard on getting my credit back in shape from my ex 5 years ago..and finally back in a position to have nice things again. So yes..it was a moment for me.

So now...6 months later of painting in the house..getting it all set up for her..and having the garage the fall back zone.....it's time! However, I don't have a large budget at all....maybe 200 dollars. So that will go for paint, sheet metal, peg board, and a few other small things. As there are some old cabnets left over from the previous owner I plan on working with.

I'll take pics and we shall have a before and after gallery for it. I'm just so excited about it.

You can make a little money go a long way but it takes more work and smart thinking. Someone mentioned picking up damaged gallon paint cans at the local box store(lowes, Menards, HD) and check to see if they have damaged or special order stuff that can be bought cheaply.

great idea, thanks!

I'm pretty handy and a hard worker, so I think I can make it work for what I want now.

Later on in a few years, I'll step it up.

You can also get mis mixed paint at wal mart on the cheap usually at least half off I picked up a gallon of gray semi gloss last night for my sons room for less than $7.00 ( he wanted gray ) . I would say if you need more than a gallon pick up several gallons of mis mixed paint and a 5 gallon bucket and mix them together to get 5 gallons of paint :D. Oh yeah and welcome to the garage :D.
