For ten bucks this seems like a great deal! I got a few of them. Between these and my drill doctor, I may never have to buy another bit again!

Perhaps. Cheap Chicom drills can be pretty pathetic, although occasionally you do get decent stuff.

at the sake of sounding rude, if you got 105 drills for $10 then I'd say you got exactly what you paid for.

You might wanna buy another grinding stone for that drill doctor because you will prob use it a ton if drilling anything metal.

I wouldn't... You can apply a gold tone to most any base metal and call it Ti. Kinda like gilding a turd.

Before I bought a Huot box I was going to buy a similar set just for the box. Pretty good way of organizing bits if you have many bits of the most fractional common sizes.

Looks similar to the ones menards had recently.

Definitely. Essentially, junk.

In the "cheap drill bit" arena I'd recommend the Skil set at Lowes for $30, used to be $20.

If you have specific projects that require the tiny drill bits sets like that have in quantity, buy them as you need them. Any of those smaller sizes pretty much sit unused for me.

Since OP has a Drill Dr, I would recommend quality bits since they should last you forever. Habitat Restore is a good place to find Made in USA bits in the bin for a buck or less... sharpen them and you've got a new Made in USA bit!

I have a drill doctor and I hate the thing. Haven't got a good bit out of it. I get more out of using my bench grinder

My Drill Doctor is hit or miss. Sometimes it works perfectly, and other times the result won't drill through butter. The "chuck" must be REALLY tightened to prevent slipping and that is harder with small bits.

I have found that better quality bits, sharpen better period.

Well, original price was $30, that $9.99 price won't last for long before they get rid of them... Sam's usually has some pretty decent deals for things, especially when they clearance things out... For the qty you are getting I guess you could just chuck them when they are dull, I'm sure they would be fine for wood but I probably wouldn't even bother with metal.

For $10 though it's almost worth it just for the metal box. I wish my sam's had them in stock... Sadly, even living in Bentonville (Home of Walmart/Sam's) the Sam's Club is kind of small and doesn't stock as much as you would expect.

I have a DD750X I bought used for I think $40 and I'm really happy with it. There was a little learning curve but for the most part it sharpens bits very nice and consistently. I also like that I can do masonry bits...

I bought a couple packs of Skill bits at Lowes or HD when they had them clearanced out for $9.99 (I think it was a SKU changeover).

I work next door to a building supply company. I pick up Irwin bits every now and then as I need them. Mostly 5/16, 3/8, and 1/2".

That's what I was thinking. I got a much smaller set of cheap Chinese drill bits at Menards some time ago and have been pretty happy with them for occasional use around the house. I have higher quality bits for drilling metal, but for random wood projects the cheapos have held up well, and it's great having multiples of the same size for when they break or get misplaced.
