Sams large workbench/storage cabinet

does anyone have one of these? It seems to have some good reviews on Sams Clubs web site

I was thinking to leave off the center door for my legs and with the two sides drawers and solid top I couldnt build this for the price of the parts.

Yes, I purhased one early in the spring. Really like it. The only thing,it took me most of one day to put it together. Really after thinking about it, I think it was a little longer. I started early one afternoon & worked to well after dark. And it took most of the next day. Of course, I had to disassembe part of what I had put together because I had misread instructins. Anyway, there are a blue million pieces. I have 2 4-drawer extension cabinets plus 2 10-dawer cabinets sitting on top. I would post pics, but its really a mess right now. In the middle of a move.

thanx, im really on the fence between this and waiting for a rounded tanker desk that I can lengthen the legs.

My Wife just got me that for my new garage..

It took me a solid 3.5 hours and 2 beers to put together, not using a powered screw driver...
so far, i like it, I got it into place tonight...

My only complaint so far is the the drawer bottoms do no actually screw into the drawer face, so there is some flex when you pull the drawer out off the friction catches...

But besides that, the ball bearing drawers are smooth, it looks great next to the also new Seville Classics Workbench she also got me...

and I now have 12' of work surface.

I decided to just be on the lookout for some old tanker desks, Im going to extend the legs to bench height and put a top on them, should be much more solid

+1. The display at my Sams had drawer front coming off and was generally lloking a little sad. Doesn't seem to be a good sign to me considering it's never had anything in it or been used other than the tire kickers at Sams.

I've been beating on mine and they've held up great. Would not hesitate to buy more.

There's a big difference in assembly quality between the guy at Sam's whipping it together to put it out on the floor and you or I putting it together correctly for use in the garage. Never judge something based on it assembled and sitting on a store floor for display.

Mine has lots of weight in some of the drawers - milling vices, drill sets, chucks, etc. Big lower left drawer had nearly 100 lbs of scrap steel and misc in it. Had it a while - 3+ years now - and zero problems. Has a 350 lb lathe sitting on top of it.

Hey Chris, why the shims under the left caster? Is the cabinet bowing from the weight of the lathe?

It's got to be to compensate for the slope of the garage floor.

I bought mine last summer as I was redoing my garage. I love it. I loved it so much I bought the wall cabinets and also the storage lockers that are on casters. Excuse the mess as this was during the process of moving stuff around in my garage after painting it. Just FYI though it did take a good portion of the day to put together. Granted I was enjoying some cold beverages while building it. lol

If it were bowing the shim would be in the center....no?
