I've got a great line on a Sanborn 60gal. upright compressor at a great price. I've tried looking them up and I cant tell if someone in China bought the name and is just mass producing compressors and putting different names on them or what?

Anyone have any experiance with these?

They were quite common years ago for the homeowner market, do not know what happened to them.

My 80 gal sandborn, that I got at an auction in august was made in Springfield, Minnesota. It' a moose, no chinese parts or pieces. It's an older model. I'm going to need a couple of gaskets, I found Master Tool Repair on line, and they still have some parts and pieces for it. Just my .02!!

I've got a 60gal, so does my neighbor. They are sold at menards and sam's club. They are as good as any of the comparable spec models out there.

Ive had a 60 gal for 3 years now, and its done everything i ask it to. Sanders, DA sanders, paintguns.... A friend has had one for 15 or so years and same type of use. Both with no problems.

I picked up a 60 gal Sanborn Black Max about 2 years ago for $100. It looked like ****, needed a regulator, drain ****, and some TLC. It works great and was made in Minnesota.
