This compressor came with ahouse that i bought in 2002 so i do not know the history of it. the ID tag is not readable and i would like to rebuild or replace the compressor.

it has oil blowing out the oil vent and it takes a while to pump up. i have never rebuilt a compressor but my guess is rings. the compressor has lots of run time on it. one weekend while i was out of town the air line ruptured and i had left the breaker on. it ran for a couple days :lol_hitti on that one event.

anyway the wife took some pics for me so excuse the mess.

the name says sanborn industrial. no specs on it. any ID help would be great and a parts source if you know of one.

is it worth the rebuild or better to replace?

You might try Master Tool Repair, they helped me on a rebuild on a 1986 Sandborn, 80 gal 2 stage. Just my .02?
