I need a larger sand blast cabinet and I think the greg smith SBC990 will do the job for me size wise. I live close enough that I can pick it up in my truck.

Any one out there have one of these and what is your opinion of it???? My current one is a side load and is this front any better??

Thanks,
Dennis

Dennis: i'm going to buy a Skat blast cabinet when i move and get a big shop. they come ready to use or in a kit where you do some assembly to save some money. not sure how the cost compares to the one you are looking at, but I've yet to hear that a member or anybody i know that has one doesn't like theirs.

here's the web site and the retired owner is a member here now and a great guy and his son now runs the company with many of the original workers still working there.

I too would recommend at least considering ScatBlast cabinets. It isn't that far from N. Indiana to Canfield, Ohio, interstate highway the whole trip. They are open Saturdays and often have unadvertised sale prices on many items in their showroom.

Another recommendation for the ScatBlast. I have the 960 and couldn't be more happy with it. I've made the trip to Canfield and it's worth a road trip even if you have the unit delivered.

I've never used what you're considering but LOVE my big SkatBlast too. I bought it used and is one of my Top 5 Best Business Decisions. Consumables are readily available(check out TPtools.com.).

Skat Blast the way to go I have one with the extension mounted on the end of the cabinet. I will second Leanna for one of the 5 best business decisions. Great cabinet great people. Every time I call to order consumables or a tool there people are super. I have been in there showroom I could get in trouble real easy there buying things.

I know a place that has one and I have watched them using it for a few minutes. It seems to work very well and I wouldn't mind having one. Only thing is, it is kind of big so it takes up more room than I would like and it takes a larger volume of air that my compressor will put out. I would have to buy a larger compressor in addition to the sandblaster and that is kind of a deal killer for me.

James they make them in all sizes. From benchtop to WOW that's freaking huge

Again. Great product, great support and to who ever said its just a box with holes for your arms, couldn't be more wrong. Interior lighting, sealing, (a leaky blast cabinet is dangerous and ***** to use) glass beads on a clean concrete floor are worse than ice!! Also the suction tube, and gun all play into it.

I didn't know just how bad my cheap Cabinet was until I bought a real one. Yes it is a ****!! Keith
