Hi, Im fairly new, here are some pictures of a sand blasting cabinet I scratch built.

Couple questions: Are the clamps staying there, or are you going to use a different system? Is that a pressure pot in the last picture or do you have plans for one? I see the air filter there, but any plans for a dust collection system? Did you stitch weld all of the sheet metal?Sorry for all the questions. Again, great work!

Hi, yes the clamps stay there. It was tig welded with evendur rod. There is a large commercial type extractor attached ( not shown ). No pressure pot, I have a syphon type gun which draws sand from the bottom of the hopper. I would be glad to send you more pictures if you wish.

Yeah definitely more details, what type of steel is it, how did you assemble the gun, etc.

Yeah, any more pictures would be great! I had been planning on just using angle iron for the frame on mine, are the sand and parts heavy enough to require the square tubing you think?

I'd like to see more pics too. What gauge sheet metal did you go with and what is the wall thickness of the box tubing?

That puts my bench top H.F blaster to shame! I should of bought some steel and did the same thing. Nice ship by the way! How do you keep it so clean? I would love to have that shop.

Hi all, 1/8" wall for the tubing and 1/16" for the sheet metal. I did a continuous weld to fill the gaps. It measures 32"x 36"x 64". Its hooked to a commercial extractor ( see images ). I added a 10" automotive filter to keep unit from cavatating. The glass I scrounged up from old cabinets I found and had cut to size. The gun and gauntlets are from McMaster Carr.

White floor tiles keep it bright and lots of light helps. I usually wash the floor once a week.
