I'm going to use my dads floor buffer to sand the floor. What grit sand paper should I use?

I used 80 grit to prep for epoxy, the floor was like a baby's *** when done. 60 would have probably been OK too.

What Reflexx said. Just don't use too high a grit - you don't want to polish the floor, you want to rough it up.

Thats what most products call for. your floor should feel like 120 grit sandpaper before you lay down the paint. I'm planning on doing mine next spring, just before my son's graduation party. I'm getting a real bad itch to do it this fall though, when the heat and humidity isn't so bad.....
