Sandborn compressor wiring

Howdy fellas, I picked up an older sandborn 60 gallon compressor last night. 230v 15a 5hp. I’m pretty new when it comes to wiring and was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on how to wire this thing up, as well as where I could find a cover for the switch box. Thanks

If you want proper input
You need a pressure switch cover,
You need a capacitor cover.
You need to post a close up pic of the wiring area of the motor with the small cover removed.
You need to post a close up pic of the motor label.
The wires going to the motor from the switch are not proper.

Just a FYI, that motor HP is marked "SPL" which means it's not 5 HP, the 15 ampere @ 230V means the real rating is around 3 HP, a 5 HP will draw around 22 amperes, but in the end it will be a decent compressor.

I would start at the Sanborn web site. You can download the manual there:

If yours is not on the list pick up the phone and ask them. There is probably a parts list available also.
