I am planning on a Rust Bullet floor in my new 32 by 40 shop. I did the water permeability test and it was slow, more than 30 seconds to absorb 1/4 cup. The Garage Flooring LLC site says if that is the case the floor needs to be sanded. How do I sand a floor of this size, equipment and materials? I could wait until Monday and call them, but patience is not my strong point.

The easiest way is to rent a buffer and use 100 grit sanding paper / screen.

Thanks Justin, I was swamped at work today so didn't get your company called. I hope to be calling in an order soon. I wanted to get the floor prep sorted first though. I have appreciated how much info you have on this site and I found the receptionist who answered my questions very helpful when I called last week [wish I remembered her name]

Another option if you don't want to put up with the noise, dust and physical labor is to hire a commercial flooring contractor. We use them all the time at work to grind and polish concrete floors. I'm sure there is one in your area.

Grinding can be a lot of work:

Dealing with the dust and mess is easy when you have the right equipment:
