Hi,

My workshop concrete floor has very beautiful with a glossy finish. This concrete was polished while 18 hours when I create my floor (12 years ago)! 6 monts later I painted this floor with an Oil Alkide paint for floor !

Now, I would like remove this paint but I don't want damage my concrete. I tried with my grinder/polisher 0-4000 7inch with a my diamond disk 7"... work fine to remove paint but this damage my glossy contrete !

I would like remove this paint with a sanding machine and sand paper ! I don't want use a diamabrush (too expensive) and probably that this will damage my concrete ! Note that my workshop is in my house with a young baby, so I can't use as chemical product !

What machine, tools, sand paper, grade paper, can I use to remove a paint only ?

Ayuh,.... Rent a rotary commercial grade floor scrubber/ polisher,....

The pads for those are like the ro-loc pads used mechanicin',....

They'll scrub yer paint off,...
Go to fine pads to buff out the finish after,....

Friday, I called my local rental Cie, and said me that our PAD cannot remove paint on concrete floor.

Can you give me a link for this PAD, able to remove paint ?

Thanks

40 grit is pretty dang rough. I can see you eating up concrete with that. You can start with something safe, like 80 or 100, and work your way up/down from there.
