Installing a Fahrenheat 5000 watt heater in my garage.
I previously installed a 30amp circuit with #10 and a 50 amp receptacle for a heater.

The heater is rated at 20.9amps x 1.25 = 26.1 amps. Seems like my 30 amp circuit should be able to handle it?

I have the Dayton version of this. 220v. I have it on 30 amp breaker and 10 gauge wire. Mine is hard wired to the wall and I bypassed the thermostat and ran wires to a wall thermostat. Works great.

30A circuit is correct for this heater. A 50A receptacle IS NOT. Replace the 50 with a 30A receptacle, or better yet hard wire it.
