View attachment 59910Hi guys...thoought I'd share some pics of garage and cars. The new garage addition at 2nd Chance Ranch will be 66' by 30' project with vaulted ceilings to allow for a Bend Pak HD9 and three 10 by 12 foot doors starting when the snow melts and the ground thaws here at 7648' in colorado in Pagosa Springs. I've had the Porsche out exercising a few times and our cows are calving and I'm itching to pour 28 yards of concrete. Stay tuned, I'll keep the pics and descriptions coming.

The front of the new one will look as old and nostalgic as the current one...the add on will be a 30' attached bump out by 66' wide, cathedral ceiling for lift in the center bay. I have lots of fill to do for the pad first after the thaw and we'll pour several piers dug down to "foundational" shale when the floor is poured. Thanks for the gas pump idea...I'm looking for one.

Short sleeve Hawaiian shirt, Top down on the car, and snow on the ground. Either you're crazy or that is my kind of winter

Looking forward to the pics !!!!!

I am completely crazy Kevin 54 and although we had 160" of snow this year, I celebrated our first 60 degree day with a top down cruise and short sleeves. We had over 60 days below zero this winter and 100 15 degrees or less so when the temp goes up the short sleeve shirts come out and the top goes down...at 68 I tend to do crazy things like building more garage space.

The roof lines on the lean to's will stay the same, but all will be closed in because of the way the snow slides and falls back into the space. We were able (if we wanted to) to walk up from the ground onto our roofs this year. Some days the only thing moving in our neighborhood was my wife's (5/8ths, my better half) Kubota RTV, with tracks and turbo charged 4wheel drive.

Colorado Springs is probably a lot like Nebraska. That white **** sticks around forever. The last of snow piles from Dec 09 and Jan 10 just melted this week at the Air Force Base I'm working at. It's been in the 60s and warmer for a few weeks here and rained a few times too.

Heard from the architect yesterday and he's drawing slab plans so I can pull a permit with the county...now I'm wondering if I should build on piers first and then pour the slab or pour first with footers and piers. I'm sitting on foundational shale, put there by an ancient volcano, so it's like building on rock...whaddya think guys??? santagary
