I don't know where the main point of sale is but I saw a set a few months back down in Ocean lakes campground and belonged to a Canadian Gentelman. The sockets were Identical to gearwrench as were the extensions. The ratchets looked similar to Gearwrech Quick release. My money is they are part of the Apex group. These were made in Taiwan

They are with the Apex tool group. Funny they used the Matco logo though.

Check the "About Us" page on their website, they are one of Apex's lines.

Edit: lots of people beat me to it....

SATA is PRC (People's Republic of China) Matco. It's not a US distributed line and has nothing to do with the spray guns. It was the first brand of PRC made tools to have a lifetime warranty in the PRC. They are not equal in quality to MATCO tools but, could be close to the Silver eagle, Mountain, and others.
Having said that, I've wondered if many of the PRC made tools branded under the Apex group (Gearwrench, new Allen, New NAPA, Craftsman) aren't made in the SATA factory in the PRC.:headscrat

Matco is part of Apex Tool Group/Danaher

Regardless of where Matcos roots lie, it just seems that it takes some of the "exclusivity" away from the Matco brand by having its logo on a lesser brand of tools. Thats just my take on it.

Good point. I think you are correct. The PRC craftsman tools are coming from the SATA factory.

I have a Matco Silver Eagle 1/4" ratchet. It is identical to the one listed on Sata's online catalog.
I read somewhere that the Sata logo is Matco's old logo.
