Satellite TV Help For Shop

My next project is to hook up a flat screen to my existing Bell Expressvu into the garage. The shop is detached. What I would like to know is, Can I use a different dish for the shop other than a Bell dish. I have an Xplornet dish mounted on the house that we don't use anymore. It was used for satellite internet. We are using the Turbo Hub now for internet.

Anyway is it possible to use that dish to mount on the shop exterior if I hook it up to a bell receiver in the shop? And do I need to run a cable from the house? Excuse my ignorance in the field of telecommunications. Has anyone done a project similar to this? I'd love to hear about it, it would be a great help. :headscrat

I reread my post, I wasn't very specific on a couple of things. We have a bell expressvu dish on the house and have a tv package, nothing on the garage.

Get second receiver "for the house" but put it in the garage with a second hand dish that will work with it. Charge for Direct TV is another $5 a month for the second receiver, don't know about yours. I know "someone" who has six in four different towns, no phone hookups.:pimpflash
