Polished expensive tools would just disappear. When the company switched to the same brand-same quality industrial black oxide tools, theft dropped dramatically. They didn't look like jewelry.

I refer to people who constantly steal from their job as magpies.

Years ago I replaced all my Craftsman ratchets, sockets and wrenches. I now own all Snap On and really prefer the chrome.
