I prefer chrome. Cleans up easier, and is just my personal preference. I don't care if they get scratched either. I had a job to do today, and I loaded my SO's in a Klein canvas bag and threw them in my saddle bags.

I prefer full polish, easy to clean and see and of course pleasing to the eye. I do have to admit that some of the satin stuff does have its own appeal though.

I tend to prefer satin over chrome. I'm just more fond of satin that mirror polished. Both do clean up quite easy if you use the right agent too.

working ends polished chrome as it cleans the easiest
satin for griping as my hands are usually slick with oil and grease

I prefer the full polish. They look nicer, clean up easier and I can't say that they are any harder to hold on to than my satin finish, especially when you have hands that are slick from oil or the like already. Black I only get for the impacts.
