Went to the swap meet in Selma this past weekend. Found a few things but this was the best. Been wanting a belt grinder for a while but they are expensive so I was just going to build one.
He was asking $50, I got it for $40.
It was missing the adjuster knob for alighting the belt but I made one on my lathe ( didn't feel like waiting for ordering it)

whats the wheel on the right side?

I'm not sure what the correct term is, but that looks like an expanding wheel. The wheel is made of rubber and designed to deform for smoothing and contouring surfaces.

Edit: Its called an expanding rubber sanding drum; here is a picture:

Great deal, even though it is an offshore unit, those are nice ones.

Yep, called an expander wheel. Pretty much a single wheel belt grinder contact wheel.
