Spent the day at an estate auction, unfortunately they waited last of course to do the hand tools. Heres what i came home with....

Hammers and cataloges were free as they came in Misc. boxes with stuff from next couple pictures i wouldve bought by themselves

I think its a unwritten rule that they always have to wait to the end to sell the items your interested in. It makes sense i guess, save the best stuff for last to keep the crowd around but it still *****.

Nice! I'd love to find some Knipex at a price like that.

I suppose...."you ****" would be more appropriate ;)

Knipex for less than $10 and Proto 3/4 bbar for less than $10 too. Great haul on some very useful tools on the cheap.

Rookies building their tool sets need to take note of all threads like this one.

I'd say you ****. Alligator pliers look in good shape. A lot of good tools at very good prices. cORNWELL wrenches look very nice for the price No suckage on the stubby ratchet though, tough to buy one at a good price. Snap on ratchets always go for good money at auctions.

One problem I've noticed at auctions where there are a lot of good tools, mechanics show up in droves and can make it hard to make good deals. I often do well in box lots and find a hidden treasure or two in the bottom.

Went to 2 this weekend and fortunately the tools went early, that is not normally the case.
