so this morning I had to drop mt daughter off so she could do some comunity service.
side note: she was helping with some fund raising at a church because her school desires the students to do some SC, not because its mandated or she has been in trouble.....
back to topic..
so on the way back I took an alternate route home to look for any interesting yard sales....and found these
the bins have hardware in them
$46 for all of it

Did good for shore, I bought a box like the one on bottom, last week. Its a little darker green and has three guys names on it but I can't remember off hand. I think one of the names is Sillman, its Blish Mize Silliman. Thats close. I looked up the name and they are a old company from Kansas, started in the late 1800's and are still in business. I think they catered to hardware stores, and the drawers were full of brass fittings. I would love to find those other boxes you got, lucky dog.

thanks guys
I was a bit hyped to get them for that price
I have several like the grey one in the garahe so I get to add this one to the collection
the others are the first like that, that I have
need to figure out what to fill them with once I sort the stuff

for anyone interested, the guy that had these was restoring antiques and antique lamps so I think there is some stuff in there that someone may be interested in

Durham Manufacturing Manufacturing here in CT makes a lot of them

I saw stacks of new ones at the Nutty Company recently.

Can't remember the price, but were not cheap.

Hey man what about pictures of the hardware.

I doubt he's got any grade 8 stuff for antique lamps.

Yeah, that one on the bottom, there was a few of them just going to waste when I did this job through man power, at an electric plant.
Just rusting away in a building they don't use anymore.
Broke my heart, would have loved to had them.
They let a lot of things go to waste there.
But they wouldn't let you take anything as scrap anymore unless it was wood.
Thanks,
Tony

MSC sells Durham storage drawers that are the same thing as the one on the right in the first picture (page 3134 if anyone is interested). $107.06 for a four drawer rack, and about $40 for each box for a total of about $270. Not cheap at all.
