We had a small job of replacing 2 wheels on a cleaning cart today. New wheels came with a new axle also. Turned out, new axle was 2 inches shorter than the old. Simply reused the old one. Good thing we didn’t cut the old one off. Used a grinder to cut beat on cap nut off one end.
Wheels were pretty close to old ones but I guess the package was actually for a narrower cart.
