Saved big money at Menards today...

I don't know if every store is having this or not, but my "local" Menards (Chillicothe, OH) is having a crazy sale on screws, bolts, nuts, etc. I'm not sure if they're switching to a new supplier or what, but it certainly worked out for me. I'll try to upload pictures tomorrow (not home at the moment) but I didn't want anyone to miss out. They even had a lot of grade-8 and stainless stuff on clearance. Most of it had been pulled and was on a clearance rack in one of the major isles, but the fastener isle still had a lot of stuff clearanced as well.

Some packages were $0.29 (down from $3+) but nothing was higher than $1.19 (being marked down from much higher). It was pretty crazy - the guy in front of me at checkout bought a bunch as well - wood screws, sheetmetal screws, self tappers, stainless washers, etc.

And the best part.... I used a Menards rebate to buy it all.

Not all of their fasteners were on sale (large boxes weren't) but probably 75% of the plastic-packaged nuts, bolts, washers, lock washers, wood screws, machine screws, etc. had red clearance tags.

We have a surplus place called Mardens up this way. They are a pretty good place to get assorted bolts and hardware. It's a bit hit or miss, but they are cheaper than lowes.

Yep, I stopped in there the other day and bought some fasteners.

#6 bolts/nuts 100 count 79¢
#8 bolts/nuts 100 count 89¢
#8/10 self tapping sheet metal screws 69¢

I bought some for a buddy too. I spent maybe 8 bucks on fasteners and got 40-50 bucks worth of stuff.
