Walked into a hardware store on the other side of town yesterday. place was a bit dusty, disorganized, full of older stuff. Spied a gas valve sitting on the register counter, and immediately recognized it as an old General Controls millivolt "brick" gas valve. Actually there were several different gas valves piled up there. I guess everybody knows this store deals with older stuff, and brings their vintage parts in there to see what they can match up. Maybe I should apply for a job there - I'd fit right in with all the old crusty parts!
I haven't seen an old ITT brick valve in at least 20 years. I've got a catalog of theirs (at least I think I still have it) dated 1985. And it was several years old when I got it!
