Sawhorse Question?

So I own a portable set of saw horses that are plastic and are collapsible. Has anyone built modular workstations to work off the 2x4 grove cut into the top. I have a compound miter saw but despise using it as I do not have a workbench deep enough to handle the sliding action. Looking to see if anyone has built platforms that use for each piece of equipment and have the sawhorses as legs. I have shelving up high to put the items on and am primarily seeking to see others ideas on this. It could go as far as to even using as a grinder station, drill work area or an extended workbench.

Thanks for all the inputs in advance. Looking to make one tomorrow or soon so I will post pictures hopefully.

I haven't built it yet, but I did design something along the lines of what you're wanting to make. Do you use sketchup?
