Howdy! Thought i would introduce myself.
Name - Noah
Job - IT Support for a grocery chain
Hobbies - Homebrewing, Tinkering, Building stuff, etc. Love doing electrical work.
Had a nice garage when i was living at my parents house over a decade ago... Since then my stuff has been sold off mainly due to living in apartments and tools in closets and small sheds.... etc.
However, the wife and i just moved to a new place out in Sherwood Oregon which has a 2 car garage! Wish i took some before pictures, but just imagine it blank
Plus... it's a rental, so i can't do too much in there, but not too much i want to do besides hang some stuff (pegboard, some hooks for tools, etc) stuff that is easy to patch up before we move.
Anyways, here are some random pictures of stuff i've been working on...
Homebrewing, i've been doing for a number of years now, been an electric brewer for about 1/3 of that... so here is some of that fun!
A stand i just welded up recently (did a test brew on it before paint, so this is before and the next is after(i did weld an old burner on so i could take it out to different events still that doesn't have a 220v hookup))
my brewery controller
and here it is all powered on
-----some stuff i've recently started to build / redo.
This is a saw i bought maybe 7-8 years ago or so, i moved and couldn't hold onto it where i was, so my parents took it for me and held onto it, but they had no room in their garage so out to the backyard it went with a cover over it, so it got a little rusty
so here it is in the new garage with a tear down to get un-rusted and lubricated... but of course i'm flying by the seat of my pants because i cannot find a manual on this machine or any information anywhere (Toolkraft 4010)
- I also need to build a saw guard... any ideas on how to build one from scratch?
Bad shot of the workbench my father in law gave me... i was cleaning up the garage and put some of my old electronic stuff on there, so do'nt mind that much... but this is after i put up a new light, took this to send to my FIL
something i built for my wife for mothers day - it's an inside joke... but i'll quickly explain.
The first few days of having my son home, we were of course delirious... so one really early morning, i took my sons foot to my wifes face and in a "baby voice" i said "smell my feet!" like he was talking, so it stuck as a funny joke... so this year i decided to make it a permanant fixture in the house and made this (before the plexiglass, which is now in there) the right side is just propped up in the photo as well.
and my wifes dresser from her youth, redoing this for my son at the momet... there was some god awful paint that was built up like plastic/rubbery stuff that i had to chemical strip instead of sand off because it was just NOT coming off and more like melting? who knows, but it's half torn apart...
Anyways, i hope to have some better pictures sooon. But thought i would introduce myself!
