Saylor beal 705 pump question

Hello everyone. I came across an old compressor. It runs very smoothly and I think I will love it. There is basically no labels or model numbers anywhere on the entire compressor but through pictures searches I figured out it was a saylor beal 705 pump. There is one part on the pump that has four holes on it that leaks. Can somebody tell me what this part is and what I need to replace it. Other than these two leaks, it seems like everything is perfect. Thanks in advance.

Also, if anybody else has any useful information for me, that would be awesome.

That's your crankcase breather. It should huff and chuff as the pistons go up and down. There is usually a thin steel disc kept in place by a retainer ring on most I've seen, so it might be missing, or it's just an older design with open holes. If it's bleeding down continuously, especially after cut out, then there is a problem.

Yeah I noticed when turned it on for the first time some oil/water blew out of the holes. Then it leaked out of the holes continuously
until the tank was out of air.

Looks like yours has an external check valve plumbed in, so I would remove/clean/replace that and try again

That’s what I just figured out. Could I just get a normal check valve and put it in the tank. Does the pipe need to be 1 inch or whatever it is to handle the air for this pump?

Yes as long as it's the proper thread for the tank you should be fine. I would try to keep the same size pipe
