HI, I'm rebuilding a 20+ year old Saylor Beall Air compressor Pump for my shop and I need some help on some parts. Now the 704 is a single stage twin cylinder pump and it looks alot like the older 705 two stage pump. Now, some parts do interchange, but sadly not the piston rings.
And as luck would have it I need a set of rings and they are discontinued.
So, I guess I've hit a brick wall. Now I was able to save one compresson and one oil ring off one of the pistons. So, I'm wondering if a set of engine rings if they were the same size and thickness would work in a air compresser?
Any questions, comments, and, especially answers are welcome.
