I'm looking at a pump that's not too far away from me but I'm already assuming it's a 705 clone. What are your opinions? Do all the authentic pumps have Saylor Beall made in the usa cast into the side of the crankcase? I had heard the earlier ones didn't have it and they only started that when the clones came out. This one already looks so tired, could a clone look this aged already from being outside. I wish you could tell them apart easier. Any tips on what to look for on the outside from pictures? I have seen a newer 705 clone and that was stamped Made in China. And I know if it's an Eaton their name is cast into it. Thanks guys!
I asked the seller if the flywheel spins true and he told me it didn't. I still may be interested given the price if it's in fact an original but I do already have two Quincy 325's and a Curtis E-50 and a Champion R30 Damn, I think I'd still get it! Just call me a pump collector
