Just picked up what I believed was a Saylor Beall 705 on a 60 gallon tank and a 5HP single phase baldor motor. It says it's a "Ajax" unit, but I know companies will package together certain components and sell it as "their" brand (I have a "Summit" SB 703 with Baldor motor at home.) This unit I picked up runs and does everything it should. County certified the tank last year. Anyway, once I looked closer I didn't see the part number stamping I've always seen on genuine SB pumps. The entire unit appears to be all original, and the tank is from 1988. From other threads I *believe this may be a Sanborn SC23 clone. Does anyone have any experience as to where these pumps were made? I'm inclined to say it's old enough to have been made before EVERYTHING was made in China, or possibly worse, India. Also, how do these compare to a genuine SB pump? I've owned some other Sanborn stuff and kinda felt they were better than home-hobbyist, but somethings less than Quincy, SB, Champion shop stuff. I paid $400, so the motor itself is worth it! Just kinda curious what experience people have had. I really love my SB703. Thanks-Bill
