I recently picked up a 1961 saylor beall 705 and a quincy 325 both with 5hp/3ph. ON the sb I got 2 of the slotted plugs out of the head but can't get the other 3. I made 2 tools . a solid piece of .370 steel with a nut welded on. they both bent, used 2 different impacts, and a 4ft bar. Does anyone have any experience getten these off? I tryed heat but it was only propane, soaked for days with bp and seafoam, if i can you more heat how hot is safe. Also are the single to 3ph inverters any good for these things? Any help is appreciated joe
