This could also be in Free Parking, but I'm putting it here since I was trying to buy tools.

DO NOT ORDER from this company. I found they had a (too) good deal on a Milwaukee Fuel M12 combo. I ordered it using PayPal figuring I could always dispute it if something went wrong. After being notified UPS had delivered my stuff, I came home to find nothing. I live in a residential area and have never had an issue with stuff on my covered porch so I checked the UPS delivery verification. It showed as delivered to "Dock" with someone having signed for it. Clearly not me!

I tried to contact the seller and the PayPal "pay to". All my emails and texts bounced. I tried to open a dispute with PayPal, but they replied in about 2 minutes they were denying the claim because the seller proved they had delivered the stuff.

Here is their scam - somehow they get a UPS tracking number for the same city and attach it to the PayPal transaction. That way PayPal sees the item delivered and denies any claim. I've talked to UPS. They confirm the delivery address wan't mine and the shipper address wasn't the scammer, but because of "privacy" can't give me the addresses or even officially confirm the issue.

I have a call in to PayPal to actually talk to someone, but in the mean time wanted to get the warning posted.

Keep us updated. I generally believe that no situation can't be made worse by calling the police but in this instance I would.

For the 1000th time ,I will say it but it will probably fall on deaf ears,attach your paypal to your credit card and your credit card protection will supersede paypal protection,meaning you just dispute the charge with the credit card co. ,they will return your money instantly and fight with paypal.

That really *****. When you use Paypal, doesn't your address come up as where you want it sent? If UPS concedes that is not where they delivered the package, even if they will not say where it went, shouldn't that prove your point? It is improbable that you would tell Paypal that you want it sent to your house and then tell the seller to send it elsewhere. It is definitely time to call your state agency that handles this type of fraud.

Update: I talked to PayPal. Interestingly, since I talked to UPS about an hour before taking to PayPal, the UPS Tracking # became "unavailable". PayPal found that really strange. They now understand what I am claiming and have reopened the dispute. They are going to try to contact the seller.

My PayPal is attached to a credit card. Disputing with the CC company will be my last resort.

PayPal won't boot you, but if you dispute with your credit card company, they will stop dealing with this issue on paypal side... it's either or and not both...... if I remember correctly. So I would let paypal deal with it first, if it is not resolved within a satisfy resolution then have your credit card company deal with it... Mine was a slightly different problem... it was some item from a douche Indiana liquidation company.... arrived broken.

Once paypal get notification from your cc that you are disputing the charge, paypal immediately ceases the investigation.

If you lose the charge back, and it can happen, paypal will not reopen the investigation.

Always best to let paypal handle it first.

I saw that 50flashsale.com site as well and almost made a thread here about it, wanting to see if anyone knew anything about it. I did do a Google search of "50flashsale" and came up with a site that said 50flashsale.com was only registered like 15 days ago. The hard thing is that "too good to be true" may not always be an indicator - I've had plenty of "too good to be true" deals turn out to actually be true. I think a good amount of gut feeling mixed with some research (even if only a few minutes worth) usually steers you right.

Here's to hoping it turns out alright for you.

I have to respectfully disagree,let me tell you why,Its pretty cut and dry with the credit card co.,if you make a purchse the person you buy from is considered a vendor whether they are a company or private individual,if you don't receive the item you contracted for ,the cc co. Will immediately refund the money to your card.They have way more power and are on your side in the situation,they simply take the money back from paypal and paypal can't do a thing except chase down the fraud,that's the beauty of having your paypal attached to your credit card.Why do I know this,I had it happen twice and both times ,same result money back on card ,not my problem,and one was an individual person who didn't send the item,didn't make a bit of difference,never even spoke to paypal the credit card co. Did everything.

Thanks, but I was asking about tracing the domain.

I made a lot of people mad in that thread. I just couldn’t sit there and listen to The Who cares if it is a scam, Paypal will fix it attitude. Sometimes people get exactly what they deserve, but not nearly as often as they should.

So if you are reading this thread and think that you should take a chance and order while they still have stock because your credit card company will bail you out, well I hope you lose your money as you have been well warned.

Just to be clear, this statement is not aimed at the people that ordered before reading this thread.

I'm not sure if you're directing that at me ,but the info I gave has nothing to do with your thread or anything like that ,I was trying to help people not to have to cow tail to paypal by attaching paypal to your credit card for protection in the case of someone pulling a scam of some sort.

You mentioned that UPS said they delivered Your package.

I was expecting two packages on Friday, and received two packages. The US Postal Service carrier often drops off the UPS packages in our rural area, but these two packages were delivered by the UPS truck. I received two e-mails from UPS stating that My two packages had been delivered by their Driver.
One was correct, and was addressed to Me. The second one was addressed to a Lady named Lisa who lives about three miles away. I tried calling Her with no answer , so I dropped it off at the Post Office on Saturday morning and explained why I had it.
I called UPS to inquire about MY second package.......They informed Me that My package had been stated as delivered, and a missing package claim would have to be initiated by the shipper.......... Lucky for ME, it was easy to contact the eBay seller who sold and shipped the package. Double lucky that I paid with Paypal, and also got the US Postal Service involved; as My package has the delivery address of our local post office,,,,who in turn were to deliver it to Me.. Crazy.. Wish You the best with the recovery effort.

If you see something priced substantially below what other major online retailers have it, you should probably be suspicious. Most of the time these margins are so small anyway, if a retailer you've never heard of is below that, they aren't in business to lose money.

Google is perpetuating all this ****, when you search and it shows shopping links these types of sites are popping up as the lowest price. If these scammers were smarter, they would start a website with high prices, leave it up for a year, then bring the prices down 25% below what everyone else has and say there is a limit of three per customer. That would really make them some money.

The real problem is that people today are too gullible and don't have as much common sense as they used to. The internet, google, and forums like this have made things worse. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it is and don't look at the one in a million deal that someone got as justification, all that does is raise costs for everyone when money goes out and has to be retrieved by the transaction processor. Rant over.
