Hello everyone,

I am in the market for a new scan tool. I run a large body shop that repairs everything from Smart to Rolls Royce all years and models. Snap-On has a Versus Pro they are pushing and wondered if anyone has a recent version that they can share their experience with me? Thank you.

PB: sorry i don't have the answer to your question about a scan tool for your shop. i can say you must be good taking care of those types of cars and happy to have you join our forum.

you might do a few searches in the other sections because the intro section isn't the best place to ask questions like the one you asked. once you find those threads if you still have questions now that you are a member you can post your questions there.

good luck and any chance you can post up a few pictures on this thread of some of the cool RR and smart cars you work on or some of your own personal cars?

Hi Pbourgue.... We use Snap-On scanners here at my shop. Being a service advisor, Im using the Solus Ultra because it fits my needs. The top techs use the latest Modis. I used a Versus Pro for about a week and it is an incredible scanner in my opinion. I only think I ran into was it will slow down if your car scanned history gets too large. Other than that, it was very good. 2 things I would pass on is, 1. if this scanner is for the whole shop to use, I would look into getting the fully integrated Versus system that comes with the roller cart, wireless printer and computer monitor that is attached to the cart. Treat it like a library book, keep it locked up and make sure techs sign it out to use. And 2. if you have a good relationship with your Snap-On rep, I would think he would let you use one for a week to see if you like it with of course the standard you break it you buy it agreement and/or give you the name of other mechanics on his route who are currently using one.

Hope that helps..... Mike
