Scanner for SRS/ABS

I need to get a scanner that will do ABS and SRS codes. I've been using Torque Pro, but it's time for an upgrade. I've browsed Amazon, but because of their BS review system, it's hard to see what's decent and what isn't.

Any suggestions for something in the 100$ range?

BlueDriver. Right at your dollar limit. Works great on my Honda/Acuras. SRS, ABS, Traction control/all wheel drive systems.

I had FOXWELL NT630 for about $100.

It can read OBDii and ABS/SRS codes on my Honda. Worked great. Because I purchased a new Audi right around the same time as I bought the scanner, I asked the seller to exchange for a scanner capable of dealing with Audi services.

For ABS service you'll mostly want one with a live data function, that enables you to view the sensor speed output the abs unit is seeing.

I just remembered that Foxwell NT630 allows direct control of ABS pumps, pretty handy for ABS brake bleeding.

The downside: you can only have 1 or 2 vehicle ABS/SRS software for free. It's good for a DIYer, not a shop. Of course, it can still be used to OBDii codes for any vehicle.

I've been using a BlueDriver and a MaxiDiag Elite for my SRS codes, they've both worked out well. I prefer the BlueDriver for the UI.

Looking at features for the money, the BlueDriver seems like a great value. I too have used Torque for a while. By the time you buy the dongle and software, you are at $30 to $50. BlueDriver at $100 and get to read ABS/SRS, in addition, is great.

My question is what kind of range have you personly used the BlueDriver on.

I did email BlueDriver and it would cover both of my cars. I am just curious.

Many of the "prosumer" scanner will NOT do all makes and models of ABS/SRS systems, especially one that are over 10 years old. Unlike powertrain controls, there is no government mandated standard.
