I acquired an antique fan that I would like to restore.

Plan was to take it apart, strip it in my blast cabinet, and renew it.

In my cabinet I have some white stuff, don't recall what it is. I also have some black diamond stuff in another bag.

What would be the right stuff to strip paint without damaging the metal?

Walnut hulls work well for removing paint but not harming metal. And regular old glass bead works good too, I have better luck with the really fine bead and it wont harm the metal, as long as its not soft like copper. Might have to adjust your pressure some.

Black diamond might be too much for the metal.. walnut for sure I know can strip without messing up the metal.
