Noticed the “H” on a few of my recent Husky wrench purchases is different than others.

Is this a “Husky” or a knockoff? Vintage? New? It’s made in USA, so I assume it is older...

What IS this?!?!

It’s legit. Just older. I have some wrenches with that logo and satin finish. They’re a lot like Proto Blackhawk wrenches.

Are they good wrenches?

I'm trying to decide between these Husky wrenches, or S-K of the same era (maybe newer but still USA) to put in my 4x4 rig box.... I'll be selling the ones I don't choose.

If its going to be in your rig box, it would be alot easier to replace a Husky at any Home Depot, if that matters to you.

Yeah they’re decent wrenches but nothing special. If you can get them at the right price I’d recommend them.

I've had my set for 19 years - they're tough.
That’s good to know! Looks like these husky’s are trail rig bound!

I can get them for $.50-$2 a piece. But I can get SK, Proto, Thorsen etc, for the same price when the place has them.

Looks like these Husky’s are perfect for my trail rig box. US made, easy replacement if one is left on the trail or grew legs (though replacements will be offshore), and cost of replacement is low.

Thank you guys!

Any of those brands would be suitable for your use.
I would get the Proto or SK over the Husky.
Husky will be warrantied with Chinese Made Apex if warranty is needed.

Husky has been around since 1924. There have been a number of owners. When the brand became exclusive to HD it was owned by Stanley so that is where all the tools came from. Stanley transferred ownership to HD so now the tools come from a number of companies. They also went from US to imported.
