Just bought an IR 4.5-gal. twin-stack, that small 2 Hp one that is supposed to be portable. Model P1IU-A9.

Anyhow, looking ahead, I've been searching both the IR site and the Internet for air filter elements and the synthetic oil [they ship it with IR All Season Select].

For the oil, I am trying to determine which I need. The sources list various versions of the oil for "T30" style compressors, T10, and so on. No idea what "style" compressor this one I have is. Owner manual and IR site and etc. don't say. Are all these oils really different, I assume they are....

Then, even using the part # for the air filter element, I cannot for the life of me find them listed anywhere. Won't need one for many months, I think, but I always think ahead and have extra stuff in the tool shed.

Where do you guys get your IR compressor supplies? For this small compressor, I mean. I find "kits" and etc. for their big compressors, nothing for the small one. Curious..... I will be calling or emailing IR before long, but I always learn something here at the forum.

You will be ok with 30 wt. non-detergent oil, it has worked in small compressors for a 100 years now. As far as parts, your local Air Centers (I/R distributor) will unlikely be able to help, look for the kinda place that sell parts for the HF, HD, or Lowes compressors.
