Last year I ran the gas tank dry and filled the pump with RV anti freeze on my 20+ year old Excello pressure washer. Today I put gas in it and the old Tecumseh engine fired on the second pull. The spray pressure was pretty weak so I disassembled the wand to find that the plastic pieces inside have reached the end of their life.

My search for a replacement wand begins. The original is an Italian unit with with a twist nozzle to change the spray pattern. I can use that or a changeable tip. The wand is about 3' long.

The pump only puts out 2000psi but it has worked well for my use.

A quick search shows a dizzying array of options, I suspect that since I have a low pump pressure I could narrow my selection considerably.
any suggestions on what to look for?

hi, you could just go to the home depot/lowes and pick 1 up. if you have any cleaner centers in your area you might be able find a used 1. check craigs list.
if you go with quick connect nozzles, i suggest purchasing a turbo/rotating nozzle. good luck.

Good wands arent cheap. 100% stainless is the best IMHO. The Italians make some good wants, matter of fact, I just bought a new dual lance (aka dump gun),Italian, stainless wand to replace an older chrome single lance (got tired of swaping soap nozzles). It was $115 though, through the local industrial pressure washer place. That was wand only, I had a good commercial grade trigger. A dual wand/lance is something to consider if you do a lot of soap injection. A quality one will last years.

With your unit, just about any wand will work (since only 2K psi) - get one with the quick-change tip. And then, the most important thing is to get the proper sized tip for the pressure and flow rate of your machine. If you get too large of a tip, it won't develop the high pressure and your cleaning power will be greatly reduced.
