school me on the powerprobe hook

Im thinking on buying a powerprobe hook? Is it worth it? And should I buy a powerprobe 3 I've seen the videos. But I would like to you thoughts. Thank you lots.

A guy I work next to at work bought one as soon as it came out back in April I think, he never touched it for 2 months, then sold it back to the tool guy at a 150 dollar lose! I took it out and played with it but I am so used to my power probe 3 it was hard to imagine buying this tool. I'm sure it does a lot of cool things and with a lot of practice and repetitive use it's probably a great tool. I'm happy with my amp clamp, DVOM, and PP3. Seems to get me through everything I do and all those tools mentioned are paided for, I can spend 400 bucks on something else!!

I'd have to full agree with this. I passed up the Hook in favor of the Master PP3 Kit(W/ECT2000), its a much better value($200 Ebay) and more practical even if you aren't troubleshooting electric faults all day everyday.

Take a look at Ebay or CL, tons of New or barely used Hooks - Too complicated and also rather bulky in comparison
