I need one. I bought a portable air tank at a auction a few months ago. everything is good on it except it leaks around the shut off valve. (It's just a push back and forth valve that stops the air before the outlet hose.) I don't see any way to fix it. So I'm going to just replace the whole thing from the tank to the hose.

I've got everything I need as far as fittings except a schrader valve to fill it with.

Any one know of a place that sells a 1/4 in male threaded schrader valve.

Try a plumbing shop, they sell shrader valves that fit in pressure tanks and have a regular pipe threads on the other end. Like the ones that retrobuilder linked to.

my local farm supply/TSC sells them, look in the tire repair section or where the milton air fitting section is. a pair of brass schraider valves in pipe thread is only a couple bucks. I have built several air tanks out of old compresser/freon tanks and use these all the time.
